Ankobra West Rural Bank has always recognized education as a critical pillar for community development. In 2023, the bank intensified its focus on supporting schools by providing necessary resources, enhancing infrastructure, and fostering better learning environments for students.
The bank contributed to four educational institutions in its catchment area, with a total investment of GH₵ 50,200.00
To improve the safety and security of the school, the bank donated 100 bags of cement to aid in the construction of a perimeter fence. This will protect students and staff from potential external dangers while creating a more focused learning environment.
Ankobra West supported the refurbishment of the school’s computer laboratory by donating four (4) sets of computers. These resources will help bridge the digital divide in rural education, enabling students to learn valuable IT skills essential for modern careers.
The bank assisted the school by servicing its only operational vehicle, ensuring safe and reliable transportation for students and staff. This contribution is especially significant in rural areas, where access to transportation is often limited.
Ankobra West reconstructed the sanitation facilities for the school, improving hygiene and ensuring a healthier environment for both teachers and pupils. Proper sanitation is crucial for preventing illness and promoting well-being in schools.
